Today a laptop is one of the devices that almost everyone around the world has. Secara umum, pelumas mekanik sebuah printer akan mengering dalam waktu sangat lama, mungkin bisa 1 atau 2 tahun lebih. Ini terjadi karena mekanik printer tidak terlalu rumit seperti mesin-mesin yang menggunakan logam. Mekanik printer terdiri dari system gearbox sederhana yang menggunakan bahan non logam sehingga tidak terlalu berisik dan tidak terlalu tergantung pada pelumas.
Biasanya setelah pemakaian dalam waktu lama akan muncul suara kasar. Selama ini tidak mengganggu pergerakan mekanik maka ini tidak lah menyebabkan kerusakan. Dan jika system mendeteksi adanya masalah pada pergerakan mekanik, misalnya terlalu berat untuk diputar, maka system akan segera mendeteksi dan memunculkan warning dengan kode tertentu sesuai dengan merk printer.
Jadi selama tidak ada warning dan printer tetap berjalan maka hal tersebut tidaklah menjadi masalah yang berarti.
Namun tentu saja ini akan lebih baik jika segera mendapatkan penanganan khusus dari teknisi yang profesional yang bisa menangani bagian sensitif di bagian dalam mesin printer.
